The Kentucky Derby, the first of the Triple Crown series of horse races, is fast approaching. And one local brewery has its own stake in the race.
One of Uberbrew's partners, Ken Schlenker, and the Magic City Thoroughbreds, are partial owners of Frac Daddy, one of the horses in the Kentucky Derby this year. Uberbrew's president, Jason Shroyer, said his staff and customers are excited about the local connection to the big race and are planning ahead for the festivities.
"Well I hope to see a nice pop in sales, people coming down and enjoying the horse race down here at Uber Brew. We're also doing a beer release, a beer called Frac Daddy," said Shroyer.
