A new documentary featuring the rescue of Jews from Nazi Germany is featured in the Magic City Sunday.
It's called "Rescue in the Philippines." The film features five brothers risking their lives to save Jews from Nazi Germany. Barbara Sasser helped make the film because her grandfather helped nearly 1300 Jews resettle in the Philippines in the late thirties. Sasser says the documentary has a strong message.
"You don't have to have a title to get something done, to correct an injustice, to be a participant in the community. If you see something that needs to be changed you can go and you can make a difference," says Sasser.
Rescue in the Philippines will be featured in Cincinnati and then in Washington D.C. during its next viewing.
