The Montana Audubon Conservation Education Center celebrates its 5th Annual Earth Day.
The Together Green Volunteers Day grant has allowed the center to bring out volunteers to plant willows, clean up trash, and work in the nursery. A crew also moves and replants bulrush plants to establish a wetland eco-system. According to MTACEC Education Director Heather Bilden, Earth Day benefits both humans and the environment.
"It gives you a chance to get outdoor and get active, it just reconnects your five senses, gets you learning about your natural neighbors, what animals live in your back yard, what plants are out there," says Bilden.
150 volunteers attended the event.
