Lulay gets start for BC LionsSURREY, B.C. (AP) — Former Montana State quarterback Travis Lulay will start for the B.C. Lions Friday night when they take on the Toronto Argonauts in a Canadian Football League game. Lulay got the start after Casey Printers suffered a knee injury last Friday in a 16-12 loss to Montreal. Lions coach Wally Buono says Lulay is ready. He says Lulay had a tremendous training camp and has a good work ethic. Lulay's last professional start was June 3, 2007 when he played for the Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe. He appeared in 16 games last season for the Lions, mostly in relief, and completed 22 of 36 passes for 324 yards and two touchdowns. He completed 9 of 15 passes for 197 yards and a touchdown in the second half of the Lions' 37-18 loss to Saskatchewan this season. Lulay played at Montana State from 2002-2005, setting school records for career passing yards with 10,746 and for career total offense with 12,205 yards. |
