List of resigning Montana prep wrestling coaches grows

BILLINGS - The list of Montana high school wrestling coaches who have resigned after the 2007-08 season continues to grow.

In Class AA, the losses include Jeff Thompson at Kalispell Flathead, which has won four of the past five state championships. Also leaving in Class AA are Jim Street, who coached at Butte for 25 seasons; Rob Bazant, who has coached at Billings West for 18 seasons; and Joel Auers of Great Falls Russell after six seasons.

Glasgow wrestling coach Mark Johnston recently resigned to accept a position as assistant principal at Ronan High School. He's been the wrestling coach at Glasgow for 17 years, winning five Class B-C state championships, including the past two.

Anaconda wrestling coach Ryan Pesanti has resigned after eleven seasons and Todd Rose resigned at Shepherd, where he coached from 1994-99 and again the past two seasons.
