Biermann, Hagen earn Montana AAU Little Sullivan Awards

LEWISTOWN - Former University of Montana football player Kroy Biermann and former Northern Colorado basketball player Danielle Hagen were named the winners of the 2008 Montana AAU Little Sullivan Awards.

Biermann, a defensive lineman from Hardin, was the winner of the Buck Buchanan Award as the top defensive player among Football Championship Subdivision schools. He was recently drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the fifth round of the NFL draft.

Hagen, of Sidney, led Northern Colorado in scoring and rebounding this season despite the effects of a genetic disease that causes increased blood clotting.

The awards were announced Saturday at the AAU banquet in Lewistown.
