Wrestler from Belgrade signs with Dickinson State

By The Associated Press

BILLINGS - A heavyweight wrestler from Belgrade is headed to Dickinson State to compete for the Blue Hawks. Jake Kallestad has won state and national championships.

Coach Thadd O'Donnell says Kallestad has proven himself at the collegiate level and will make an immediate impact in DSU's upper weights.

Kallestad won a national junior college championship in 2006 while at North Idaho College. He was a three-time prep champion at Belgrade and compiled a 135-9 record for the Panthers.

Dickinson State also signed three wrestlers from Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming. They are former Huntley Project athlete Jordan Ewan; Scott Crane of Reed City, Michigan; and Adam Orton of Evanston, Wyoming.
