Game officials trap grizzly bear near Cody

JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming Game and Fish Department trapped a grizzly bear near Cody and moved it to the Bridger-Teton National Forest.

The department said Monday that officials captured the adult male bear on Saturday because it had killed domestic cattle on two occasions.

The bear was taken to the Blackrock Creek drainage, about 15 miles east of Moran Junction. The department says the release site was chosen to try to minimize the chance of future conflicts and give the bear its best chance for survival.
