CHEYENNE, WYOMING - Snow and wind returned to much of Wyoming, hampering travel with road closures, including parts of Interstate 80.

A winter storm warning was posted Friday for southeast Wyoming, including Cheyenne and Laramie. Snowfall of up to 15 inches in the mountains and 8 inches in lower elevations were expected.

Winter weather advisories were in effect for a large area of central and southwest Wyoming, including Casper and Riverton. About 10 inches of snow had fallen in the Lander area by Friday morning.

Snow and wind caused hazardous conditions nearly the entire lengths of I-80 and I-25. Most of I-80 between Laramie and Rawlins was closed Friday morning.

Other road closures included U.S. 30 and U.S. 287 in Laramie, Rawlins and Medicine Bow.
