CASPER, WYOMING - A Colorado woman has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor drug possession in Wyoming after Casper authorities arrested her for possessing less of an ounce of marijuana that she said a doctor recommended.

Thirty-two-year-old Carrie Marie Ragsdale says a doctor recommended the drug after a December car accident. She told the judge and prosecutor on Thursday that she had documents with her proving she had medical clearance for the marijuana. But Assistant District Attorney Randy Carnahan says the Colorado recommendation means nothing in Wyoming.

Judge Michael Patchen ordered Ragsdale to pay $550 and sentenced her to six months of unsupervised probation.

This poor woman Wyoming needs to get with the times. It has been PROVEN that marijuana has a positive effect on some medical condtions. It is n different than using Xyrem, or GHB to treat narcolepsy with cataplexy.
