GILLETTE, WYOMING - Investigators seized $16,000 worth of methamphetamine in a bust that began when a woman tested positive for meth after giving birth at a Gillette hospital.

Police say a 30-year-old man and 21-year-old woman have been arrested Monday on suspicion of felony methamphetamine possession. The Campbell County Sheriff's Office has not released their names because the case still is being investigated. The two were traveling through Gillette when a second woman riding in their car went into labor.

Sheriff's Investigator Jeff Mooney says that after giving birth at Campbell County Memorial Hospital, the mother tested positive for meth but her baby appears to be healthy. Mooney says the woman who gave birth has not been charged.
