CHEYENNE, WYOMING - Gov. Dave Freudenthal has signed into law a measure intended to make sure that Wyoming residents who have concealed weapons permits won't run into trouble carrying their hidden guns in other states.

Republican Sen. Cale Case of Lander and other sponsors said Senate File 26 was necessary to clear up problems with Wyoming law that might have prevented other states from accepting Wyoming concealed weapon permits.

Freudenthal has said that the bill he signed Friday will ensure that lawful permit holders in and out of Wyoming can carry firearms as originally intended.
