LARAMIE, WYOMING - Laramie Fire Department officials say propane heaters started a fire that slightly damaged luxury suites under construction at the University of Wyoming's War Memorial Stadium.

No one was hurt in the Monday night fire.

Laramie Fire Department Shift Commander Kyle Polidora says several portable propane gas heaters ignited nearby flammable materials.

He says construction workers must have placed the heaters too close to a wood barrier that was shielding an open elevator shaft.

The fire was located where new luxury suites are being built on the upper east side of the stadium. The $22.3 million construction project began last spring and is scheduled to be completed in time for the 2010 football season.

Officials say the construction work shouldn't be delayed much by the fire.
