Game Dept. moves grizzly bear that killed pony

JACKSON, WYOMING - Officers with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department have trapped and relocated a grizzly bear that killed a Shetland pony in northern Wyoming.

The department says the adult, male grizzly was trapped on Friday. It had killed the pony on private property west of Cody.

The bear was moved in cooperation with Bridger-Teton National Forest to the Bailey Creek drainage, approximately 15 miles northwest of Moran. The release site is within currently occupied grizzly bear habitat.
