First responders conference set for Wyoming

CHEYENNE, WYOMING - A conference for first responders next week in Cheyenne aims to teach emergency workers about crisis counseling and getting services to victims after disasters like Hurricane Katrina.

The conference is sponsored by the Rocky Mountain Disaster Mental Health Institute and is designed for emergency medical specialists, firefighters, chaplains and other workers. It will cover issues like post-traumatic stress disorder, suicide factors and brain injuries.

The event is set to run Thursday through Saturday.
