New commander takes over Wyoming missile unit

WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, WYOMING - Col. Gregory S. Tims has assumed command of the 90th Missile Wing at Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne.

Tims replaced Col. Michael J. Morgan in a ceremony Wednesday.

The 90th Missile Wing, known as the Mighty Ninety, operates 150 Minuteman III missiles in Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming. It has about 3,300 military personnel and about 950 civilian employees.

Tims was previously executive officer to the commander at Air Force Space Command at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colo.
