Gillette man gets 6 years for teen molestation

GILLETTE, WYOMING - A 34-year-old Gillette man who admitted having sex with a teen has been sentenced to 6 years in prison.

Ryan Renken pleaded guilty to molestation charges in January. Renken had sex in his pickup truck with a 13-year-old girl and sent her racy text messages. The abuse came to light when the girl's sister found the text messages.

At the time of the molestation, Renken was out on bond for separate molestation charges. Those charges were dropped in his plea deal.
