CHEYENNE, WYOMING - Cheyenne-based Corral West Ranchwear has been selling and liquidating stores in California and Nevada.

The company meanwhile faces a civil lawsuit over $650,000 in unpaid accounts. Corral West CEO Larry Hagar says the lawsuit and sales of the stores are unrelated.

Hagar says the retail business has been difficult. He confirms that the company has sold seven California stores and two Nevada stores to a rival company, Boot Barn.

Hagar declined to comment on the civil suit other than to say it's close to being resolved.
