CODY, WYOMING - A former history teacher and football coach at Lovell High School has pleaded guilty to taking indecent liberties with a minor.

Troy S. Pittman, 33, was a teacher in Lovell until October. That's when he was charged in Big Horn County amid allegations of sexual misconduct with students and/or football players. That charge was dismissed. But Pittman still faced two indecent liberties charges in neighboring Park County. Those charges were based on incidents in the 1990s.

Park County Prosecutor Timothy Blatt says Pittman pleaded guilty to one of those counts and the other count was dismissed. District Judge John Brackley on Wednesday sentenced Pittman to 3-to-5 years in prison, with time suspended in favor of five years of supervised probation.
