CODY, WYOMING - An evacuation advisory has been lifted for the Elephant Head Lodge near the Gunbarrel fire between Cody and Yellowstone National Park.

Strong wind and low humidity led to extreme flare-ups on the fire Wednesday, although firefighters' efforts have lowered the risk at the Elephant Head Lodge.

Goff Creek Lodge remains under an evacuation advisory. The Gunbarrel fire has burned more than 92 square miles since it was started by lightning just over a month ago. Fighting the fire has cost nearly $8 million.
