GILLETTE, WYOMING - A biologist with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department shot and killed a mountain lion at a subdivision in Gillette on Tuesday.

A man reported the lion at the Remington Village Apartments early Tuesday morning. Heather O'Brien is the game department's district wildlife biologist for Gillette. She shot and killed the lion after finding that it wasn't afraid of humans and didn't appear to be healthy. The lion will be tested for plague and rabies.
