CASPER, WYOMING - Speakers at an economic conference in Casper say Wyoming's economic growth has slowed since 2006 but continues to grow.

University of Wyoming College of Business Dean Brent Hathaway says the state's energy and tourism industries are helping keep Wyoming workers employed. But he expects tourism will decline some.

Buck McVeigh of the state Economic Analysis Division says the price of gas could affect tourism. He says tourism brings in more $1 billion a year to the state. Hathaway also noted that a tight labor market may continue to temper economic growth.

The economic conference on Tuesday was sponsored by the Wyoming Business Alliance and the Wyoming Heritage Foundation.
