RIVERTON, WYOMING - Sara Perkins is earning her college associates degree before she even gets a diploma from Riverton High School.

What's more, Perkins is a valedictorian of her class at Central Wyoming College. Perkins achieved the feat by taking "dual-credit" classes. Those classes enabled her to earn both college and high school credit simultaneously. Still, Perkins needed to attend many of her classes at Central Wyoming College, and she says she did nothing but homework her last year of high school.

Perkins says all the work has helped her realize how much she is capable of doing.
