CODY, WYOMING - An improvised bomb was found at a highway pullout near Ten Sleep.

Wyoming Department of Transportation employees found the improvised device Wednesday afternoon and the Highway Patrol called in Cody police officer Jake Sullenger to handle it.

According to patrol Capt. Ed Peterson, Sullenger disarmed the device without detonating it. Sullenger reported that the bomb consisted of several layers of explosive powder, a fuse, ball bearings and nails. Patrol officials say they're investigating.

It's the fourth time in the last six weeks that the Cody police have been called out to get rid of explosive devices in the Big Horn Basin.
