Ex-teacher accused of sex crimes

CODY, WYOMING - A 33-year-old former history teacher and football coach has been charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a child in Park County.

Circuit Court Judge Bruce Waters, who found there was probable cause for a trial on the two counts, bound over Troy S. Pittman, of Lovell, for trial this week. He dismissed a third count of the same offense.

Court papers say Pittman is accused of providing alcohol and pornography to minor boys and persuading them to engage in specific sexual activities while he watched. The court papers say the incidents occurred more than a decade ago when Pittman was an assistant football coach at Powell High School.

Pittman most recently had been a history teacher and football coach at Lovell High School. But officials say he is no longer teaching or coaching there as of late October.

Pittman could not be reached for comment.
