POWELL, Wyo. (AP) — A Big Horn County school district has partnered with a company to operate a virtual school that may be available to all Wyoming students.

Baltimore-based Connections Academy and Big Horn County District 1 have formed Wyoming Connections Academy.

The virtual school operates as a public school with curriculum aligned with Wyoming standards. Students pay no tuition, and all instruction is online.

Parents who home school also can take advantage of the virtual school to supplement their instruction.

The Powell Tribune reports that districts in Campbell, Niobrara and Fremont counties also operate full-time online schools.
