SHERIDAN, Wyo. (AP) — A Sheridan teenager has pleaded guilty to a charge of first-degree murder in last year's home invasion killing of an elderly businessman.

The Sheridan Press reports that 17-year-old Wyatt Bear Cloud pleaded guilty on Wednesday in the killing of 79-year-old Robert Ernst.

Bear Cloud also pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary and aggravated burglary. His trial had been scheduled to begin Monday.

Bear Cloud faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole. His sentencing is set for Nov. 30.

A jury last week convicted co-defendant 20-year-old Dennis Poitra Jr. of first-degree murder in the killing. Another teenage defendant has yet to stand trial.
