CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Encana Oil & Gas has contributed $100,000 to the Wyoming Land Trust.

The Wyoming Land Trust was launched this winter. It's a statewide effort to conserve the state's character as well as scenic and cultural values.

Encana says its donation will help to support conservation easements and other efforts to support Wyoming wildlife resources, scenic views and agricultural production.

EnCana is the biggest operator in the Jonah Field, a major natural gas development in western Wyoming.
