Free Cowboy football tickets for Wyo. veterans

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The University of Wyoming and the Wyoming Veterans Commission is offering free tickets to UW's football game against Air Force at War Memorial Stadium on Sept. 25.

There are 500 free tickets available to Wyoming veterans for the game, in Laramie. Kickoff is at noon. Veterans can request two tickets per veteran by contacting the Wyoming Veterans Commission at (307) 265-7372, in Casper.

Veterans will need to provide their name, mailing address, and some basic proof of their veteran status such as a veterans service organization membership, VA health care eligibility, retired military status, or other proof of veteran status.

Proof of status over the phone is sufficient.

All requests for tickets must be received by the close of business on Sept. 8.
