Coulter delays potential UW visitCHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Conservative author and commentator Ann Coulter won't be visiting the University of Wyoming this fall, though a visit by her in the spring is a possibility. The UW College Republicans are seeking to bring Coulter to the Laramie campus as a conservative counter-speaker to 1960s radical Bill Ayers, who spoke on campus in April over the wishes of many alumni. UW College Republicans President Caitlin Wallace said Coulter wants to spend this fall writing her new book. The UW Republicans are preparing to submit a list of proposed dates in the spring for Coulter to choose from. The College Republicans also still need to raise $5,000 toward Coulter's $20,000 speaking fee. The rest is already covered by donations. ___ Information from: Casper Star-Tribune - Casper, http://www.trib.com |
