CODY, Wyo. (AP) — A grizzly bear suspected of preying on cattle near Cody has been relocated.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department said the young male bear was moved Friday from private ranchland to the Snake River drainage about 10 miles northwest of Moran.

The area is in the Grizzly Bear Recovery Zone and other grizzlies were already living there.

Scientists are warning that grizzlies are going to be particularly hungry this fall because their favorite food, nuts from whitebark pine cones, is scarce.
