JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — A young grizzly bear that was spending a lot of time on a ranch near Jackson has been moved to Park County.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department moved the yearling bear Thursday to a spot about five miles east of Yellowstone National Park.

The state agency had help from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Shoshone National Forest. The release site is within the federal grizzly bear recovery zone and is known to be habitat for other grizzly bears.

Grizzly bears are listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act.
