CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming Republicans decide contested primaries Tuesday for U.S. House, state superintendent of public instruction and state auditor.

In the Republican House race, Rep. Cynthia Lummis faces Evan Slafter, of Casper. Lummis was expected to advance to the general election against David Wendt, of Jackson, who was unopposed in the Democratic primary.

The Republican race of superintendent of public instruction features three candidates challenging incumbent Jim McBride: Ted Adams and Cindy Hill, both of Cheyenne, and Trent Blankenship, of Pavillion.

The winner will face Sen. Mike Massie of Laramie, who is unopposed in the Democratic primary.

Bruce Brown, of Devils Tower, and Cynthia Cloud, of Cody, are vying for the Republican nomination for state auditor.
