MISSOULA - A 31-year-old man who authorities say had a blood-alcohol concentration more than four times the legal limit when he allegedly head-butted a detention officer at the Missoula County jail has been charged with assault on a peace officer.

Authorities say Peter N. Yarmolich was arrested early Saturday morning on a DUI charge and became increasingly agitated as he was being booked into the jail. The officer was not seriously injured in the incident.

Court records say Yarmolich's BAC was 0.357 during Saturday's arrest, more than four times the legal limit of 0.08. Yarmolich has previous charges of assault on a peace officer and DUI from 2007, and the Missoula County Attorney's Office has filed a petition to revoke his sentence in that case.
