Lame Deer man dies in crash

BILLINGS - The Montana Highway Patrol says a 19-year-old Lame Deer man died when his car struck an oncoming semi tractor-trailer.

The patrol says the man was westbound on U.S. 212 near Lame Deer at around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday when his car drifted into the eastbound lane and crashed into a semi.

Both vehicles were forced off the road. The driver of the car was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene. His name has not been released.

The patrol says the 55-year-old California man who was driving the semi was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
