HELENA - Members of Montana's Interagency Committee for Change by Women are brushing off a survey done by the group in 1977 to see how it compares to how women are faring Thursday.

Monica Abbott, who chairs the committee, says the group is repeating the survey in an effort to last through the end of the year, asking the same questions and seeking the same data as was collected 32 years ago.

The 1977 study dealt with working women and what they needed, including help finding a job, access to training and what they found dissatisfying. The results of that study found that women were most troubled by the chances they had at promotions, salary levels and availability of training.
