BOZEMAN - The Belgrade School District's clerk and business manager has been suspended without pay after she pleaded guilty last week to embezzling money from a Bozeman wrestling club.

Schools Superintendent Herb Benz says the school board will meet Monday to determine if 42-year-old Susan Lang should keep her job. Lang was accused of taking about $20,000 from the Bozeman Hawks Wrestling Club over the last five or six years. She was a bookkeeper for the organization.

Benz says the district's annual audit is under way and that he does not believe Lang has taken any money from Belgrade school coffers.

Lang's attorney says his client told him she only took $10,000 from the wrestling club and has since paid it back.
