GREAT FALLS - The State Commission on Community Service has elected a Chester farmer as its new chairman.

The commission recently elected Chris Kolstad and also added a new vice chair, Kim Miske, a legal aide from Wibaux. The 16-member commission is appointed by the governor.

It oversees service programs such as winterizing homes for the needy and helping communities prepare for fire season in the summer.
