BILLINGS - Laurel police say a 19-year-old man died Wednesday morning, after an apparent accidental shooting at a Laurel residence.

A preliminary investigation shows the victim and a 24-year-old man didn't think the gun was loaded when it went off at about 6:30 a.m. The victim was shot in the torso. His name hasn't been released. The other man was questioned by Laurel police and released.

Yellowstone County deputies are also investigating, but say the shooting appears to be accidental.
