THOMPSON FALLS - A Heron man convicted of keeping a woman captive and sexually molesting her for 14 years has been sentenced to 50 years in prison on each of five felony counts of incest, rape and sexual abuse.

During Tuesday's sentencing, the judge told Douglas Guill that he had "stolen" from his now-23-year-old daughter her childhood, her education and her trust. Guill was accused of molesting the girl from the time she was 6 years old and forcing her to have sex with her eventual stepmother. Guill's second wife, Nicole, was convicted in a separate trial in May of three felonies related to the same case. She's awaiting sentencing.

Prosecutors have said that Nicole Guill engaged in sexual acts with the victim while Douglas Guill watched before he would have sex with both of them.
