BILLINGS - Montana Senator Jon Tester was the first to speak at the gathering for Senator Barack Obama.

He commended Senator Obama for his service on the veteran's affair's committee and his work to improve Veterans benefits. Tester said, "Just got to look at his record, and he's done a great job on the VA Committee. He supported the 1st Century GI Bill. Senator McCain did not. We need to start treating our veterans in this country with the respect they deserve."

Tester accompanied Obama on his flight to Denver for the Democratic National Convention.
