BUTTE - This fall's planned groundbreaking for a $25 million wind turbine manufacturing facility in Butte is being delayed at least until spring.

Evan Barrett, with the Governor's Office of Economic Development, says the project is definitely moving forward. He says the German company is focusing on getting a new plant in Germany open first. Barrett also says the Fuhrlander AG plant needs to develop a market for wind turbines within 1,000 miles of Butte.

Gov. Brian Schweitzer announced the project in March. The plant was expected to create about 150 jobs.
