No Fireworks Funding

BILLINGS - Billings' annual fireworks display at Stewart Park will not happen this year. The Yellowstone County Tavern Association usually sponsors the event, but said skyrocketing costs have forced them to cancel the event this year.

At first, the display cost the group about $5,000. Now costs are nearly four times as high. The group decided to spend its money on other charitable events this year.

That means the only local fireworks displays will be in the Heights, in Laurel, and in Roundup.
