GREAT FALLS - A Brockton woman who was convicted of fatally stabbing her boyfriend on New Year's Day has been sentenced to almost three years in prison.

Twenty-one-year-old Stanette Crowe received 32 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release. She was found guilty in January of involuntary manslaughter for the 2007 death of 22-year-old Donald Eagleman at a residence they shared in Brockton. Crowe told investigators that Eagleman tried to choke her before she grabbed a knife and stabbed him in the chest.
