MISSOULA - Former University of Montana football player Qwenton Freeman has pleaded guilty to two charges related to a violent home invasion.

The 22-year-old Freeman pleaded guilty Thursday to conspiracy to commit robbery and aggravated burglary in the Nov. 5 break-in. Seven men broke into a rental house with the intention of stealing money and drugs. One occupant of the house was repeatedly pistol-whipped and a woman was bound with duct tape.

Freeman's plea agreement calls for a 10-year sentence to the Department of Corrections, with five years suspended. It allows him to be considered for the prison's boot camp program. District Judge John Larson scheduled sentencing for July 17.
