Fire destroys lodge at Rainbow Ranch

BOZEMAN - A fire has destroyed the main lodge at Rainbow Ranch southeast of Big Sky.

A passer-by called 911 at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday after seeing smoke at the popular guest ranch and restaurant on the Gallatin River. A ranch spokeswoman says the facility had closed April 6th, so no one was there when the fire started. She says she doesn't know if the lodge will reopen for the summer season on May 23rd.
