GREAT FALLS - A Wolf Point bank teller accused of stealing more than $20,000 from her employer has pleaded guilty in federal court.

Cassandra Solberg, 23, entered her plea Thursday to bank embezzlement before U.S. Magistrate Judge Keith Strong. Sentencing has been set for July 31. Prosecutors say an October audit of the First Community Bank vault showed $13,000 was missing. When questioned, other bank employees told authorities Solberg had volunteered to do previous audits and wore baggy clothing.

The employees also said they noticed Solberg, after completing an audit, would head to where workers kept their coats and purses. Prosecutors say Solberg later acknowledged taking the money and told investigators about another $10,000 she had taken from her teller drawer. A subsequent audit showed her drawer to be $10,500 short.
