HELENA - A group of statewide contractors have taken Montana Meth Project founder Tom Siebel up on his challenge grant. The Montana Contractors' Association donated $125,000 dollars to the Montana Meth Project. An amount that was matched, dollar for dollar, by the Siebel Foundation to total a quarter of a million dollars.
"There was a real connection there when we started talking about this Meth Project and it was a little but alarming, frankly, how many people had knowledge of somebody that had some connection with their company that had some real negative consequences as a result of meth," Cary Hegreberg with the Montana Contractors' Assocation commented.
Martel Construction asked companies to donate money. Within only 10 days, they matched $50,000 dollars to the over $74,000 dollars pledged by other members of the MCA.
