MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — The Montana Highway Patrol says a 36-year-old Missoula man was killed in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 on the western edge of Missoula.

Missoula County Coroner Greg Hintz identified the victim as Marcus Merritt and says alcohol was involved in the crash.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Chad Dever says Merritt, who was the only one in the car, was westbound at around 5:30 p.m. Monday when he lost control of the vehicle. The car went into the median, overturned, crossed into the eastbound lanes and came to rest on the guard rails.

The crash remains under investigation.
