BILLINGS - Voters approve $12 million in bonds for School District 2.

Unofficial results show the elementary maintenance bond was passed by more than 6,000 votes. The $4.4 million for elementary schools will help to replace roofs, windows and fire alarms.

The high school bond was passed by nearly 7,000 votes. The $7.5 million will be used to update the 70-year-old boiler at Senior High and will help replace roofs, windows and fire alarms across the district.

"Were going to do work at all three of our high schools and the career tech center. Two of our middle schools and 11 of our elementary schools and were really excited on behalf of the students and staff," said School District Two Superintendent, Keith Beeman.

Taxpayers won't have to pay the interest free bonds for 15 years. Election officials said voter turnout was about 45%. County commissioners will release the official numbers on Monday.

Haven't you people had enough? SD2 is run by a bunch of misfits that couldn't count a roll of quarters correctly twice in a row.
